Safety Deposit Boxes -

If you're looking for a way to protect your valuable documents and small items, consider keeping them in a safe deposit box that is securely stored inside the vault.

A safety deposit box is a secure, fire-proof metal box that is kept locked inside the vault at your branch.  Only you, and if you so designate, another trusted individual selected by you, can open it.  Even the staff representatives at the branch are not able to open your safety deposit box.

When you rent your safety deposit box, you will receive 2 keys to open it.  You can open and examine your valuables in a private area, any time the branch is open for business.

Safety Deposit Box Annual Fees (fee due annually on February 1st)

  • 1.5" x 5" x 24" = $35.00
  • 2" x 5" x 24" = $45.00
  • 2.5" x 5" x 24" = 50.00
  • 3" x 5" x 24" = $60.00
  • 3.5" x 5" x 24" = $60.00
  • 3.75" x 5" x 24" = $60.00 (City Centre Branch only)
  • 5" x 5" x 24" = $75.00
  • 2.5" x 10" = $75.00 (City Centre Branch only)
  • 2.5" x 10.5" x 24" = $80.00
  • 5" x 10" x 24" = $85.00 (City Centre Branch only) 
  • 10.5" x 5" x 24" = $160.00
  • 10" x 10" x 24" = $165.00 (City Centre Branch only) 

Seniors Annual Discount = $5 off annual cost

Sundry Fees & Charges

Duplicate Tax Receipts (T4, RSP, Official Receipt, T5, etc...) = $25.00/item

Lost Safety Deposit Box Keys (per key) - reissue box = $25.00
Lost Safety Deposit Box Keys (per key) - keep box = $150.00

Drill Box (Metal) = $250.00 
Drix Box (Stainless) = $350.00

RRIF Unscheduled Payment = $25.00

RRSP Cash Withdrawals = $25.00

TFSA/RRSP/RRIF transfer to another Financial Institution = $100.00
